Edinburgh indie-pop outfit Noah Noah are back with a brand new single. ‘Cannibal Calling’ which was released yesterday is an exciting look into what they have in store for 2017.
Noah Noah are no strangers to penning sparkling pop tracks. Having recently been announced for Belladrum and Kendal Calling, they have been taking the industry by storm, one striking track at a time.
Distant dulcet vocals introduce us to jovial riffs and a dynamically vibrant drum rhythm. Colourful synth chords burst in at scattered intervals throughout the first verse of lead singer Fraser’s bright vocals, adding further depth to the track and giving it an all-round feel-good air.
A building melodious refrain leads us into a gritty riff which wraps itself around a vivid beat giving a slightly darker feel. Buoyant injections of sunny melodies break up the single adding warmer tones, dropping to driving guitars building a lively energy for the tracks final chorus, we are met with a fading mellow repetition of the tracks title. Abruptly ending we are left with a want for more.
